Jordan Hospital vs Alcatel


One of the better games in the league so far, both teams put on an offensive show as we had the highest scoring game this year. The first quarter was even as both teams scored at will and Alcatel had a slight advantage finishing the quarter leading 23-20. In the second quarter, Jordan Hospital struggled a little bit offensively as they scored only 17 points while allowing Alcatel to score 30 points which meant Alcatel went into halftime leading by 16 points (53-37).


In the third quarter, Jordan Hospital despite playing short handed gave an impressive effort and got back into the game by scoring 24 points while holding Alcatel to only 15 points which meant we were going to the fourth and final quarter with Alcatel leading by only 7 points (68-61). The lead grew to double digits and reached 15 points with less than 5 minutes to go when Jordan Hospital mounted another comeback to cut the lead to 4 with less than 2 minutes to go before some timely baskets from Alcatel put them game away as Alcatel won 89-81.

Bank Audi vs Zain


Another exciting game that went down to the wire, Zain came out hot as they hit their first three three pointers to build a 10 point lead in the first 3 minutes of the game, then Bank Audi started getting into a nice offensive rhythm as they used their speed and quickness to score easy points on the fast break and finish the quarter down 12-17. In the second quarter, Bank Audi continued running their fast break game to perfection as they out scored Zain 20-11 in the quarter to take a 4 point lead into halftime leading 32-28.



In the third quarter, Zain changed their defensive scheme to try and slow down Bank Audi and they were able to do that while being more efficient on offense as they out scored Bank Audi 24-13 in the quarter to take a 7 point lead heading into the fourth quarter leading 52-45. After a couple of scoreless minutes to start the fourth quarter and falling behind by double digits, Bank Audi started a great comeback that cut down the deficit to only 3 points with over 2 minutes to go in the game but timely free throws and a couple of three pointers from Zain put the game away as Zain won 68-61.

Alcatel vs Arab Potash Co


As their previous games, Arab Potash started hot and quick and finished the first quarter leading 23-10. The lead ballooned to 20 points before Alcatel started their comeback and were able to cut the lead by half to go into the half time break trailing 32-42.


In the third quarter, Arab Potash again started to increase the lead but Alcatel just wouldn't go away as they had another late run in the quarter to go to the break down only 8 (49-57). The fourth quarter which is the highest scoring quarter so far in the league (56 points scored combined) was a scoring festival as both teams scored at will but the lead never went below 7 points as Arab Potash went on to win 86-76. One point worth mentioning is that between the two teams there were 19 three pointers scored!!!

Bank Audi vs Jordan Hospital

Bank Audi were finally able to jump out to a good start by finishing the first quarter leading 17-9. In the second quarter, Jordan Hospital improved their offense as they scored 16 points but they also allowed Bank Audi to score 27 to go into halftime with Audi Bank leading 44-25.

In the third quarter, Jordan Hospital came out very focused and determined to get back into the game and they were able to do exactly that as they scored 21 points while holding Audi Bank to only 6 points to go to the fourth quarter down 50-46. In the fourth quarter the excitement was at its highest levels as both teams fought hard for the win but eventually Audi Bank came out on top 74-68.

Audi Bank vs. Arab Potash Co.


Arab Potash kept their trend of starting games hot as they jumped out to a nice lead 12-2 early on in the game and kept a 10 point lead till the end of the quarter 24-14. In the second quarter Bank Audi started to fight back as they hit a couple of 3 pointers but for every run that Audi Bank had, Arab Potash had an answer as they finished the quarter leading 43-32.



In the third quarter, Audi Bank started strong as they cut the lead down to 6 but then Arab Potash went on a run to finish the quarter leading 65-50. Nothing changed in the fourth quarter as Arab Potash won 87-68.

Jordan Hospital vs Zain


Jordan Hospital started the game hot as they raced to a 12 point lead midway through the first quarter, then Zain started to get into the game and were able to cut into the lead and finish the quarter down 12 - 20. In the second quarter, Jordan Hospital again jumped out to a strong start then Zain was able to close the gap as the first half ended 36 - 28 for Jordan Hospital.



In the 3rd quarter, Zain kept inching closer and closer and they were able to tie the game for the first time at 40-40 and even take the lead on the next basket 42-40 but Jordan Hospital hit 2 three pointers back to back to take the lead 46-42 going into the fourth. The final period was very exciting and Jordan Hospital continued their trend of starting quarters strong as they increased their lead to 8 then Zain started climbing back and were able to tie the game midway through the fourth quarter and then take the lead on a couple of back to back three pointers. Jordan Hospital tried to get back into the game but Zain were able to keep their lead by hitting key shots especially their free throws to take the win 64-58

Zain VS Alcatel & Arab Potash VS Jordan Hospital

Zain vs Alcatel

Zain started off strong jumping to a 21-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. Alcatel started to fight back in the 2nd quarter but still Zain was able to increase the lead to 18 points as they ended the first half with a score of 41-23


In the third quarter, Alcatel tightened up their defense as they held Zain to only 10 points but their offense wasn't much better as they scored only 14. The last quarter was the highest scoring quarter of the game as Alcatel scored 22 points while Zain scored 20 points giving Zain the win with a final score of 71 - 59

Arab Potash vs Jordan Hospital

Potash team started the game pushing the ball and were able to finish the first quarter leading 16-12. The second half was a slow scoring half as Arab Potash scored 13 pts while Jordan Hospital scored only 9 to go into halftime with a score of 29 - 21.

In the third quarter, Jordan Hospital made a nice push to cut the lead down to 4 but then Arab Potash went on a run to finish the quarter up 10 with a score of 46 - 36. The final quarter was another slow scoring quarter as Jordan Hospital scored 9 points while Arab Potash scored 13 to win the game 59 - 45.

Alcatel Vs. Bank Audi

Second game of the season is in the books as Bank Audi and Alcatel (Moseco group) entertained us with an exciting game. Alcatel started strong and were able to finish the first quarter leading 21-8.

Bank Audi started playing better in the 2nd quarter and they were able to go basket to basket with Alcatel but that wasn't enough as they went into the halftime break trailing 24 to 38.

In the 3rd quarter, the excitement kept rising as Bank Audi were digging themselves out of their hole while Alcatel tried to keep a double digit difference. In the fourth quarter, the difference was cut down to 4 points but then Alcatel responded by scoring 6 consecutive points and Bank Audi seemed to run out of gas which Alcatel used to finish the game winning by 13 points

Final score: Bank Audi 55 - 69 Alcatel (Moseco group)

Arab Potash Vs. Zain

The 3rd season of the Old Timers Basketball League kicked off with a nice hard fought game between Arab Potash co. and Zain. The game which was held at the IAA school saw Arab Potash team come out of the gates swinging to a 14-3 lead. Zain team tried to get back to the game but couldn't cut the difference to less than 7 points in the first half which ended with Arab Potash leading by 10.

In the 3rd quarter, Zain team started to show its true colors as they fought back to finish the quarter down only 3 points. But they ran out of gas as Arab Potash were able to finish strong and win the game.
