Wesam Alsous showed his new shirt holding the number (11), the same number worn by him in the national team which qualified for the 2010 World Cup in Turkey after winning the bronze in the Asian continent for the first time in the history of Jordan Basketball
Abu Khadija announced that the transfers of Wesam is the highest in Jordan on the basketball court, without giving financial details of the deal, which extends for five years
He added that there were a lot of discussions for Alsous to join the team to enhance the gap suffered in last season, which prevented them from crowning a champion of the Premier League in his first participation
Abu Khadija continued: the club, which takes pride in all of his players and cares about ethics first and then the technical level, the plan for the club going as its planned and the team soon will be able to compete locally and externally
Abu Khadija thanked the Riyadi Club, the closest to them, which is known by its attention to age groups, and ASU looks forward to walk in his footsteps in the near
Sabah: a hard decision... We are confident in youth
Secretary of the Riyadi Club, Fadi Al-Sabah said that the decision to abandon the star of the team and the national team Wesam Alsous was very difficult, but Riyadi is interested to achieve the interest of the player who has gave since he came to the club in all age groups all he has and has been a leader in and off the pitch, which made us give into that difficult decision
He Added: we have not given up on the ambition of competition, and Riyadi, which focuses on elements of the young players whom will be given the opportunity to emergence in the absence of Alsous
For his part, Wesam Alsous thanked at the beginning of his speech Riyadi Club which gave him a chance to move to ASU which enable him to achieve his ambition of winning the domestic league which is free to record it by the competition for Arab and Asian Championships
Alsous said: thanks go to ASU which did not makes me feel that I left the club where I grew up very early age and stayed with them nearly 14 years, and now it's time to prove to the club that I deserved the deal, which has been through with my quest to win championships and titles, as the group since its inception and became reckoned with, not only at the local level, but also on the Arab level, especially after winning bronze in the Arab clubs championship
