Zain's secreatary general Mr. Tarek Hosani assured to Jo-Basket.com that Zain announced their withdrawal from the 13th WABA Clubs Championship which will start tomorrow.
The team's head coach Maz Trakh and the American import Ontario Lett did'nt grant the VISA in order to go to Iran and that was the main reason of the withdrawal adding to the fact that nobody was giving hand to help the team to solve the visas issue until the last two days which weren't enough to do all papers needed esspecially that there is no local federation until now to follow up despite that Zain sent all papers to WABA and organizers in Iran before nearly a month until the last two days which weren't enough to do all papers needed esspecially that there is no local federation until now to follow up.
The same case happened to Hoops club from Lebanon who may not participate as well.
Local players arrived to Tehran, Iran earlier today but they will leave as soon as possible after the head of delegation Mr. Muntaser Abu Roza's said the club's final announcement during the tournament's techinichal meeting today.
Zain's reaction means that the team will not appear in the next Asian Clubs Championship in Qatar on may.
