وأشار الى أن الفريق الذي ينسحب عقب اجراء القرعة ستطبق عليه العقوبات المنصوص عليها، كما تطرق الى العلاقة مع الاتحاد السوري والمستجدات المتعلقة بمشاركة الجلاء والجيش
وذكر أن لاعبي الرياضي اللبناني فادي الخطيب واسماعيل أحمد بامكانهما المشاركة مع فريقهما، حيث أن عقوبة الايقاف المتخذة بحقهما مطبقة على الصعيد المحلي فقط

من جهته، أكد الزعبي أن اتحاد كرة السلة يحرص على اخراج البطولة بأبهى صورة ممكنة، في الوقت الذي نوه فيه سماوي الى أنه تم انجاز معظم الترتيبات التنظيمية مبينا أن اللجنة المنظمة العليا ستعقد اجتماعا الاثنين المقبل تركز خلاله على موضوع الترويج
