رغم عدم تمكنه من الفوز بلقب بطولة أندية غرب آسيا الثانية عشرة بكرة السلة التي اسدل الستار على منافساتها في عمان، الا أن زين المنظم استطاع تحقيق معظم أهدافه الموضوعة

نجح زين بطل الدوري والعرب وبالتعاون مع اتحاد اللعبة في تنظيم البطولة بصورة مميزة، وعلى المستوى التنافسي ظفر باحدى البطاقات الثلاث المؤهلة للنهائيات القارية التي تستضيفها العاصمة الاندونيسية جاكرتا خلال الفترة من 12-20 ايار القادم، وذلك بحصوله على المركز الثاني للمرة الأولى

كما اكد علو كعبه وتفوقه على الرياضي اللبناني غريمه التقليدي على المستوى العربي وحامل اللقب السابق، عندما تغلب عليه في الدور الأول 94/86، كذلك فقد تبادل بطل كرة السلة الأردنية الفوز مع سابا باتري الايراني بطل القارة الآسيوية، حيث خسر أمامه في الدور الأول 76/78 وعاد ليهزمه ويطيح به في الدور قبل النهائي بفارق سبع نقاط 67/60، وليحرمه بذلك من فرصة الدفاع عن اللقب القاري الذي يحمله منذ عامين

أثنى طارق الحوساني عضو الادارة المدير الاداري لفريق زين على جهود لاعبي الفريق والجهاز الفني والاداري والتي توجت بالحصول على احدى بطاقات التأهل لبطولة آسيا التي سبق لزين نيل لقبها، مشيرا الى أنه كان بالامكان الفوز ببطولة غرب آسيا لولا عدم التوفيق والاصابات وبعض الأخطاء الفردية والتحكيمية

وقال أن البطولة كانت قوية للغاية حيث حظيت بمشاركة ابرز فرق المنطقة والتي تربعت في السنوات الأخيرة على عرش القارة، مشيدا بالنجاح التنظيمي بفضل العمل بروح الفريق بين الجميع معربا عن عميق شكره للمدير التنفيذي للاتحاد-مدير البطولة ايمن سماوي ومدير النشاط الرياضي في مدينة الحسين للشباب رضوان العبادي ولأعضاء اللجنة المنظمة واللجنة الاعلامية وللجهات المسوقة والداعمة

فرومان مرشح لسلة زين

وبين الحوساني أن الفريق سيخلد لفترة راحة قصيرة ليومين يعاود بعدها تدريباته استعدادا لاستكمال مشواره في بطولة الدوري وللمشاركة في بطولة الأندية العربية التي يحمل لقبها ومن بعدها نهائيات آسيا

وقال أن المحترف الأميركي الجديد آدم زان سينتظم في التدريبات، فيما قد يغادر اتيريو لت الى الولايات المتحدة في اجازة قصيرة لظروف عائلية، مبينا أن بقاء مايك كرستنسن من عدمه مرهون بوضع الاصابة التي يعاني منها في منطقة الظهر، وكذلك في التطورات التي ستطرأ بشأن موضوع تجنيس الأميركي جاكسون فرومان (208سم) لاعب ارتكاز سابا الايراني الذي لفت الأنظار في بطولة غرب آسيا

أبو الطيب : مشاركة مثمرة

عبر المدير الفني لفريق الأرثوذكسي د. منتصر أبو الطيب عن ارتياحه للصورة التي ظهر فيها فريقه في البطولة، مبينا ان مستواه كان يتصاعد في نسق مستمر من مباراة لأخرى مع ازدياد التجانس والتناغم مع المحترفين الأميركيين اللذان انضما للفريق قبل فترة وجيزة من انطلاق البطولة

وقال أن المشاركة حققت الفائدة المرجوة على صعيد توفير فرص احتكاك قوية للغاية للاعبين وخصوصا الشباب منهم والذين يشكلون حاليا الغالبية العظمى في فريق الأرثوذكسي الذي يمر بمرحلة اعادة بناء

واوضح ان ايمن دعيس الذي غاب عن المباراة الأخيرة أمام المتحد بسبب الاصابة سينتظم بالتدريبات مع الفريق الذي يتأهب لبطولة الدوري

وهنأ ابو الطيب زين على حلوله وصيفا وتأهله لنهائيات بطولة آسيا متمنيا له التوفيق في البطولة وأن يمثل كرة السلة الأردنية خير تمثيل

تراجع للسلة السورية

غابت كرة السلة السورية عن مشهد التنافس الفعلي، حيث أخفق فريق الجيش في بلوغ دور الثمانية بخسارته المفاجئة أمام الكرخ العراقي 76/97، ليحل تاسعا ويودع مبكرا من الدور الأول، بعدما كان مواطنه الجلاء الحلبي انسحب وغادر عمان قبل موعد مباراته الأولى، احتجاجا على عدم موافقة اللجنة الفنية للبطولة على قيد اللاعبين كوريا وايدو بكشف فريقه

وذهبت البطاقات الثلاث المخصصة للمنطقة لمهرام الايراني وزين والرياضي اللبناني
