مدرب الرياضي حاول تدارك الموقف وايقاف افضلية التطبيقية بعدما زج بورقتي جو فوغل وعلي محمود بدلا من محمد ابراهيم والمحترف البوسني الكسندر ، الا ان تألق تيم بيكيت وزيد عباس في انهاء هجمات التطبيقية وسع الفارق لمصلحة الاخير مع نهاية الربع 25 - 17
سرعة الفريقين في الناحية الهجومية جعلتهما يفقدان العديد من الكرات ، وفي ظل هذا القاسم المشترك بينهما مطلع الربع الثاني حافظ التطبيقية على تقدمة بل وتمكن من ضبط ايقاع العابه الهجومية بفضل تشيدني غراي ووسع الفارق الى (11) نقطة بواقع 33 -22 بعدما سجل غراي خمس نقاط متتالية تبع ذلك ثلاثية بامضاء بيكيت
أفضلية التطبيقية لم تدم طويلا بعدما كان تواجد الرياضي في منطقة العمق بصورة أفضل من التطبيقية وكانت المتابعات الدفاعية والهجومية في الغالب من نصيب اسماعيل احمد وجوفوغل ، فيما ظهر اداء عبدالله ابوقورة بديل المحترف المكسيكي آدام برادا بصورة مهزوزة
وامام المعطيات السابقة كان عمر الترك يعيد الرياضي الى اجواء اللقاء بثلاثية وكرر الخطيب المشهد ذاته قبل ان يسجل من اختراق رد عليه غراي بالطريقة ذاتها ، قبل ان يذلل نيت جونسون الفارق الى سلة واحدة بثلاثية كانت تجد الرد بالطريقة ذاتها مع الثواني الاخيرة من عمر الشوط الاول عبر تيم بيكيت لينتصف اللقاء ويحافظ التطبيقية على تقدمه 40 - 35
ادرك الخطيب التعادل في بداية الربع الثالث ومن ثم تقدم الرياضي 42 - 40 ، ليبدأ الفريقان تبادل التسجيل سلة بسلة وسط تركيز كبير على الجانب الدفاعي ، الامر الذي جعل منسوب التسجيل يتدنى
تقدم ألغاه ادام برادا عندما سجل على طريقة (الدنك) ، ليبث الحماس في لاعبي التطبيقية من جديد فقدموا اداء مميزا في الجانب الدفاعي من خلال فرض الرقابة الصارمة على ابرز مفاتيح اللعب في صفوف الرياضي

فقد فريق التطبيقية جزءا كبيرا من حيويته في الربع الحاسم ، وغاب التجانس عن عناصره وفي ظل ذلك كان الرياضي يرفع من وتيرة العابه الهجومية وعاد ليقلص الفارق عبر اسماعيل احمد وادرك جو فوغل التعادل 63- 63 ، قبل ان يقود اسماعيل احمد فريقه للمقدمة بثلاثية 66 - 63
وامام تقدم الرياضي السابق سرعان ما طلب مدرب التطبيقية ماز تراخ وقتا مستقطعا ليعيد من خلاله اعادة ترتيب اوراق الفريق ، واثمر ذلك عن ادراك التعادل عبر ثلاثية بيكيت فيما اكد زيد عباس تألقه واعاد فريقه الى المقدمة 70 - 68
عادت المباراة الى نقطة الصفر بالتعادل 70 - 70 ، وكان التطبيقية يشدد قبضته على نقاط الفوز عندما تمكن من قطع الكرة في الثواني الاخيرة التي قادها تشيدني غراي وترجمها زيد عباس مع لفظ المباراة انفاسها الاخيرة ليقود فريقه الى الدور نصف النهائي
خروج عن الروح الرياضية
ما ان اطلق حكم اللقاء صافرة نهاية مباراة التطبيقة والرياضي اللبناني حتى قام نفر من جمهور النادي الرياضي بالقاء الزجاجات الفارغة صوب لاعبي التطبيقية وان كان المشهد قد حدث اثناء المباراة عندما تم القاء الزجاحات على محترف التطبيقية تشيدني غراي
وعقب المباراة عمت الفوضى اركان الصالة قبل تدخل قوات الامن اللبنانية لتهدئة الوضع واخراج الجمهور الغاضب من الصالة
وفد زين يعود اليوم
يعود اليوم وفد نادي زين الى عمان عقب ان ودع منافسات البطولة بحلوله ثالثا في المجموعة الاولى ، حيث سيخضع اللاعبون الى فترة راحة قصيرة قبل استئناف تدريباتهم استعدادا لبطولة الاندية الاسيوية التي ستقام في اندونيسيا منتصف الشهر الجاري
ويذكر بأن زين كان قد توج بلقب النسخة السابقة من البطولة والتي اقيمت في عمان في انجاز اردني غير مسبوق ، الا انه لم ينجح في المحافظة على اللقب لهذه النسخة تاركا المهمة الى شقيقه فريق التطبيقية لابقاء اللقب اردنيا
