The delegation of Zain team returned to Amman yesterday in the wake of the club's management to take a decision to withdraw from participating in the West Asia Championship which started in Tehran, in protest not to give coach Maz and Antirio Let Visa.
The head of the club d. Nasouh Al-Qadiri, who had held a series of intensive contacts with the administration of the delegation and officials of the Federation of Western Asia ahead of a decision to refrain from participating, said that what happened is unacceptable at all
He said in a statement to the «Alrai Newspaper»: Zain represent Jordan basketball, a summer of West Asia and has already sit on the throne of basketball in the continent, cannot be dealt with in this way that we reject out of hand
He expressed his belief that what Zain experienced is related for them being an extraordinary candidate to win the title, in order to influence the chances of winning
He continued «Zain had hoped to qualify for the finals of the continental margin, and transit through the world championships, it was a dream we seek to achieve, but we preferred to give it up and adhere to principles».
The Head of Zain Club appreciated the follow-up and attention from Said Shuqom Chairman of the Temporary basketball theme.
Qadri said that the club will engage in the coming days to study a new strategy for the team in light of his lack of appearances in the finals of Asia
He pointed out that the player is naturalized Rasim Wright, who was on loan at Mehram Iran, arrived in Amman yesterday, trying to collect his belongings to travel to Beirut to join Hekma, without understanding that it would not be able to achieve without Zain’s approval
