بدأ التطبيقية مسيطرا بالاعتماد على ثلاثيات تيم بيكيت وثنائيات آدم برادا والأخوين زيد واسلام عباس، فيما تعاون نضال الشريف وإياد عابدين على تنشيط خط الدائرة وتسريع ايقاع اللعب، وهو ما أربك الأهلي الذي انشغل لاعبوه لتقليص الفارق طوال الفترة الأولى التي انتهت لحساب التطبيقية 19-10

وشهد الربع الأخير سيطرة مطلقة للتطبيقية على بطل الإمارات، خصوصا وأن لاعبي الأخير وجدوا صعوبة كبيرة في مجاراة ايقاع التسجيل المتسارع مع عودة ثلاثيات بيكيت التي رفعت الفارق 71-47
