ورغم هذه الزيادة، فإن ميزانية كرة السلة تحتاج الى دراسة وافية سيما على صعيد النفقات الكبيرة التي يتحملها اتحاد اللعبة، ومنها برامج بطولاته التي تزيد على 20 بطولة منها المدارس والفئات العمرية للجنسين، وتكاليفه الإدارية المتشعبة، والأهم من ذلك التزامات الاتحاد ومسؤولياته تجاه الأندية التي سارت في ركب الاحتراف وتحملت الكثير طمعا في رفع مستوى المنافسة والانجاز الخارجي، وهو ما كان حيث عاد منتخبنا الوطني الى موقعه السابق كرقم صعب في الساحتين العربية والآسيوية

والآن ينظر منتخبنا الوطني إلى ما هو أبعد من التألق العربي والآسيوي، حيث إن هناك "مشروع المونديال"، الذي يحتاج إلى وقفة وطنية واحدة من أجل انجاحه، وتحقيق أول صعود أردني الى المصاف العالمية

ورغم أن أحدا في اتحاد كرة السلة لا يقبل التعليق على مدى موافقة الميزانية الجديدة لطموحات اللعبة العريضة، خصوصا مع الإيمان بإمكانية النجاح في المشروع "الضخم الجدا"، والذي ينتظر المنتخب الوطني والمتمثل بالمشاركة في بطولة آسيا في الصين خلال شهر آب (اغسطس) المقبل، والتي ستؤهل 3 منتخبات من القارة للمشاركة في بطولة العالم في تركيا عام 2010، إلا أن قراءة بسيطة لحجم الميزانية المطروحة تؤكد أنها لن تكون كافية لتحقيق الطموح

فاتحاد كرة السلة يتحمل مبلغ يناهز الـ400 ألف دينار لدعم الأندية سنويا، وهو مجبر على ذلك، بسبب الاحتراف، وبغض النظر عن الدعوات المطالبة بترك هذه المهمة للمجلس الأعلى للشباب، سيما وأن الأخير يفاضل بين الأندية ويقسمها إلى أهلية وغير أهلية، وهو يصب كل تركيزه على أندية كرة القدم ولا سيما الجماهيرية منها مثل الوحدات والفيصلي

ويكفي القول إن أندية الكرة المطالبة بأن تحول الى شركات، وتنال الدعم من اتحاد اللعبة، تحصل على مكافآت من المجلس الأعلى في حال تأهلها من دور إلى دور في أبطال العرب أو كأس الاتحاد، فيما لا ينال نادٍ مثل زين أو الرياضي أو العلوم التطبيقية أي دعم حتى مع إحراز لقب بطولة آسيا أو العرب، ورغم ذلك تتعالى أصوات أندية الكرة وهي تصرخ من الاحتراف الذي تم اجبارها على تطبيقه منذ بداية الموسم الحالي فقط

كما أن اتحاد كرة السلة مطالب بصرف ما يتبقى من ميزانيته لتنظيم البطولات وتنفيذ البرامج الخاصة بتوسيع القاعدة والانفاق على منتخبات الفئات العمرية وتسيير أموره الإدارية، مما يعني أن المنتخب الوطني "وهو الأهم" أصبح خارج الميزاينة، ولا بد من النظر إليه بشكل خاص واستثنائي، وذلك حتى لا يبقى مشروع المونديال مؤجلا

يذكر ان اتحاد كرة السلة سبق وحصل على دعم إضافي من صندوق الملك عبد الله الثاني للتميز من أجل النهوض بمستوى منتخب الرجال عام 2007، وتمكن خلال ذلك العام من حصد العديد من الانجازات منها كأس الملك عبد الله الثاني وويليام جونز والبطولة العربية، كما تمكن المنتخب في العام الماضي 2008 من الفوز بلقب كأس النخبة الآسيوية، حيث تأهل تلقائيا الى نهائيات آسيا للعام الحالي
