فرض التطبيقية أفضليته في الربع الأول الذي انهاه متقدما 21/16 بفضل اختراقات تيم بيكيت وتشيدني جراي ومتابعات آدم بارادا والشقيقين اسلام وزيد عباس، وكان الفارق وصل الى عشر نقاط 19/9 بعدما أحرز نضال شريف خمس نقاط متتالية من خارج القوس ومن اقتحام مباشر
تابع بيكيت وشريف التسجيل قبل حروج الأول لفترة وجيزة لتلقي العلاج الأمر الذي استغلى استغله القطريون واستطاعوا تذليل الفارق الى أربع نقاط مغ انتهاء الشوط الأول 41/37، بقضل تسديدات توماس كمباري وعلي تركي وشيخ سال
