وسيغادر المنتخب مباشرة من تايوان، حيث شارك في كاس وليم جونز الى مقاطعة شانج ينج الصينية التي سيمضي فيها ستة ايام يقيم خلالها معسكرا تدريبيا يتضمن مباراتين مع فريقين محليين
يضم وفد المنتخب، الاداري العام -مدير الفريق- ينال الخص والاداري زهير النوباني والطبيب جوني ابراهيم والمعالج لؤي المرايات والجهاز الفني بقيادة البرتغالي ماريو بالما ومواطنه ماريو جوميش ويوسف ابوبكر ورسلان شوابسوقه الى جانب اللاعبين زيد الخص ، ايمن دعيس ، سام دغلس ، اسلام عباس، انفر شوابسوقه ، زيد عباس ، وسام الصوص ، جمال ابوشماله ، موسى العوضي ، جمال المعايطة ، فضل النجار ومحمد حمدان وراشيم رايت
ويطمح المنتخب للظفر باحدى البطاقات الثلاث المؤهلة الى نهائيات كأس العالم في اسطنبول 2010، وهو سيلعب في الدور الأول بالبطولة الآسيوية ضمن المجموعة الرابعة الى جانب منتخبات لبنان واندونيسيا والامارات
وكان المنتخب شارك مؤخرا في بطولة كأس وليم جونز التي تنظمها الصين تايبيه سنويا، وتخلى فيها عن اللقب الذي كان يحمله اعامين متتاليين حيث حل وصيفا لايران بطلة القارة رغم فوزه في سبع مباريات وتعرضه لخسارة وحيدة ''ادارية'' بعد انسحابه أمام ايران بالذات في بداية المباراة احتجاجا على قرارات تحكيمية وهو متقدم 2/0 ليخرج خاسرا 0/20، وكان المنتخب افتتح مشواره في البطولة بالفوز على الفلبين 90/59، وتغلب بعد ذلك على لبنان 73/63 ثم على الصين تايبيه (أ) 111/64، وعلى كوريا الجنوبية 83/67، قبل ان ينسحب امام ايران ، وعاد بعد ذلك ليفوز على تايبيه (ب) 76/69 ثم على اليابان 93/58، وعلى كازاخستان 96/77
